2024 Philly paws - Rising Citywide Lifesaving Rates. The goal of all PAWS' programs is to increase the lifesaving rate at Philadelphia's animal control shelter, with the ultimate goal of ensuring survival for every savable pet. While we have much work to do, the current save rate of 86% is a world away from the abysmal 11% that prompted PAWS' founding 17 years ago.
